Injuries are so hard to evaluate but I always wonder if there’s some kind of correlation we can (with the limited information we have as outside observers) guesstimate at?
Do you think it’s more likely to be a systemic issue or just bad luck?
Luckily it seems like a fair few of the previously injured players are on their way back (Ansu, Frenkie, Fermin etc..)
At first I thought it often came down to luck but when it happens on such a regular basis I just think the players aren't physically prepared to play so often (club season + national teams + preseason).
Yeah I’d tend to agree - and it doesn’t seem like it’ll get any easier for them with the insane workload we’re putting on them. Makes you wonder if the benefits of getting national team experience truly outweigh the risks of getting overworked / injured.
