Valencia proved us all wrong
If we talk about LaLiga’s dark horses this season, Girona has to be the first club that comes to mind. Technically, they’re still in the title race after 30 fixtures, even though they have a very large hill to climb and have actually surpassed expectations by far in terms of their objectives for this season.
But sorry for rambling on, because this article isn’t actually about Girona. It’s about another team that’s also been overachieving and proving us all wrong: Valencia CF. With their latest 0-1 away win against Granada on Thursday, they’ve climbed up to 7th place with 44 points, just five from European positions.
