The world champions are back in action and looking to add the Women's Nations League to their cabinet
Spain will have their first international camp of 2024 ahead of their Nations League semi-final against the Netherlands.
Spain return to play their first competitive game on Friday evening and it is is quite an important fixture in terms of deciding what their calendar will look like this year.
Montse Tomé’s side are aiming to win their Women’s Nations League semi-final against the Netherlands in La Cartuja in Seville to book their place in the Olympic Games for the first time.
If they do beat the Netherlands and progress to the final, they will face either France or Germany on home soil, with the very real chance of adding another piece of silverware to the cabinet after a historic first World Cup triumph in Australia last summer.
If they lose against the Netherlands but France make the final, then Spain must win their third-place play-off, again on home soil, to qualify for the tournament in Paris, so they might have two chances, although the world champions will hope to keep their destiny in their own hands by continuing their fine form.
