Ronaldinho, Andrea Pirlo, Andriy Shevchenko, Sergio Agüero, Iker Casillas, Joaquín, Djibril Cissé, Javier Saviola, ‘Chicharito’ Hernández… These are just some of the many renown ex-football players that took part in Gerard Piqué’s unconventional league. Not a bad selection for a relatively new competition that will soon celebrate it’s first anniversary.

In that time, the Kings League organised four competitions: two leagues (or splits), the Kings Cup and the Kingdom Cup. To that, we have to add the Queens League, with only one split, the Queens Cup, the Prince Cup and even an award ceremony.
