'It's All Over - The kiss that changed Spanish football' is a must watch
The new Netflix documentary was released last week and goes in depth into the Spanish Women's national team's struggles
‘#SeAcabo’ first tweeted by Barcelona and Spain’s Alexia Putellas in the wake of the scandal surrounding Luis Rubiales’ unwarranted kiss with Jenni Hermoso is now the name of a new Netflix documentary.
The documentary charts what happened in those tumultuous days and weeks following Spain’s maiden World Cup win on 20th August 2023, with Hermoso speaking for the first time in depth about how the scandal and media attention affected her.
Yet, as the documentary pointed out, the story didn’t start there for the women’s team, players for years, had faced misogyny and adversity at the hands of REFE.
The documentary tells the story from the perspective of the players involved and is an equally absorbing and shocking watch as they tried to speak out and force change.
