Contrary to the rumours of a move to the MLS, Antoine Griezmann has reportedly put pen to paper on a new deal at Atlético Madrid, opening a new chapter in one of football’s greatest love stories. Although not officially announced, reports suggest that the Frenchman’s new contract will run until 2027. Additionally, it includes a pay cut that would allow the club to register him and still look for new transfers in the upcoming summer transfer window.
With all that said, it must also be noted that Griezmann’s performances this season have been described as inconsistent, with a noticeable dip in form, particularly in the new year, affecting Atleti’s chances at success.
