Scotland midfielder Caroline Weir is set for an extended period on the sidelines due to the serious knee injury.

Well, think again as Las Blancas have a huge problem on their hands now that influential midfielder Caroline Weir is set to miss the entirety of the campaign with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury suffered on international duty with Scotland.
The 28-year old was forced off after 20 minutes of her country’s 1-1 draw with Belgium in the inaugural Nations League and after a scan confirmed the damage last week, surgery has been scheduled and Weir’s season was over before it had even started.
